Broadwas Croquet Club

About Our Club

Broadwas Sports Association and Croquet Club is situated close to the A44 in the village of Broadwas, 5 miles from the centre of Worcester and 10 miles from Bromyard. The croquet club was formed in the year 1998 and now has a membership of 50 playing and social members. The Broadwas Sports Association own the land and all buildings including the Club House and facilities. With the exception of match days and cricket on some Saturdays, the lawns are available at any time for Members enjoyment.

Our club welcomes new members of any age and anyone interested in trying the game. It’s good exercise in beautiful surroundings, with a friendly crowd.

4 full size lawns and a half size means on non competition days Members can just turn up and play.

An Introduction to Croquet

Croquet can be played as light-heartedly as it can seriously, from the back garden to international level.  There are a few basic skills to learn but most people get the hang of these within a few minutes.  These will be sufficient to give you immediate fun.  So put aside any thoughts that it has to be a complicated game. Golf and Association Croquet

If you are a beginner all you need is a pair of flat shoes (trainers). We are able to provide all equipment and basic coaching. Within 20 minutes you could be playing an enjoyable game with great company in the Worcestershire countryside.

We have many Members who enjoy social games and friendlies against other clubs. For the more competitive we enter teams in various leagues.
